More Than a Bakery: The Cremesh Story

StaTucked into the heart of Bradenton, Cremesh Coffee & Bakery has quietly become one of the neighborhood's most beloved gathering spots — and once the sun goes down, it transforms into something else entirely. This is the story of how one chef's passion for honest, from-scratch cooking built a café by day and a European dining room by night.

It Starts Before Sunrise

Chef Pavel Hasenohrl is usually at Cremesh before the rest of Bradenton wakes up. Every loaf of bread, every pastry, every dessert is made from scratch, using non-GMO, unbleached, preservative-free flour and all-natural ingredients — nothing from a box, nothing shortcut.

Chef Pavel brings decades of European culinary tradition to everything he makes, a craft rooted in his upbringing in the Czech Republic. With over 25 years of baking behind him, he applies the same care to a morning sourdough as he does to an evening pork shank. As he puts it: "Good food is not complicated — it is honest. Fresh ingredients, old-fashioned technique, and real passion. That is all."

Your Morning, Covered

By the time the doors open at 7:30am, the case is already full — butter croissants, pain au chocolat, cinnamon danish, blueberry muffins, and Chef Pavel's artisan breads: sourdough, rye, baguettes, and more, all baked before opening with no preservatives and no shortcuts.

Pair it with a cup from the coffee bar, where single-origin beans are pulled into espresso, cappuccino, flat white, or cold brew — whatever gets your day started right. Need something more substantial? The savory menu covers sandwiches, soups, and lunch fare made fresh daily.

And for celebrations, Cremesh's European-style custom cakes are crafted to order — birthdays, weddings, or corporate events, each one made with the same care as everything else that comes out of the kitchen.

When the Sun Goes Down

Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 5pm, the bakery quiets and Cremesh Restaurant comes alive. It's where Chef Pavel brings the authentic flavors of Central Europe to the table — dishes cooked to order, with no shortcuts and no compromise.

Expect a menu built around European classics done right: slow-roasted half duck with rich dark gravy, Hungarian beef goulash, Wiener veal schnitzel, and the restaurant's popular beef stroganoff, made with filet mignon strips in a cream sauce over egg noodles. The menu also features wild salmon with a creamy dill sauce and red snapper, prepared simply and beautifully.

A Neighborhood Favorite

What keeps people coming back isn't just the food — it's the warmth. Guests consistently describe Cremesh as cozy and welcoming, with a staff that makes every visit feel personal. It's the kind of place where the owner's care is obvious in every detail, from the freshness of the pastries to the affordability of the prices.
